Horrible period cramps?

you cant get rid of them, but going on the birth control pill helped mine, they still hurt but not as much, and then i take ibuprofen, if it gets really bad your doctor can prescribe something, but birth control and ibuprofen works wonders. I used to have pain that had me screaming in agony, now i can deal with it.
