Is it ok to put my lovebirds outside the house?

I'm living here in southern california and I'm somewhat concern about the sudden change of temperature at night. I'm wondering if this can harm my lovebirds at all if I put them outside the house permanently. Because they currently growing in numbers so I have to buy them a larger cage to accomodate their needed space. I don't think the cage I'll be buying would fit in my somewhat small house. I just need feedback if this is ok or what should be done. Thanks
