I Don't Know what to do Please HELP!?

Okay, well I go out with this guy named Gabe. We have been out 5 times before, and I liked him a lot. But, I was talking to him on the phone and he started crying (idk) and asked me out. So, out of pity, I said yes. He never hugs me, never talks to me, PLAIN OUT IGNORES ME.. I want to dump him, but I don't want to hurt him. I like his friend Cody also. Now, Cody talks to me, hugs me, and always walks with me. My friend, Sidney, didn't know I went back out with Gabe. She walked up to Cody and FLAT OUT asked him out for me. He said yes. I found out, and I made her tell him it was a dare. He looked like he was going to cry, then went to go talk to the counselor. Cody is mad at me I think. And he doesn't hug me anymore. Now hes acting desperate; going out with this girl Tori, even though shes plain ugly. [Sorry, its the truth] I don't know what to do about anything, so please help me! Thanks(:
