How to end poverty in the world?

ur forgetting that at the end of ww2 s. korea, china, india, even japan, were poorer than ghana. it is not mainly a question of mineral resources. after all, switzerland only has snow, and dubai only sand. there is plenty of hope for poor countries, incl. much of africa, in virtue of technological and industrial development. as for afghanistan, it feels as if we are playing games. f.ex., a few months ago or so there was a flurry of articles by leading experts saying that pakistan's government is about to fall to islamists. clearly this was a plant, designed to send the current government a warning. it is not clear to me whether this story (or the concurrent one from london saying that pakistan is STILL running the afghan taliban even while they're slaughtering their own) is true.
